He had been about in the main part of the Wolf Mountain territory, River Danson, Traydon River, Lake of Reflection, Ice Mountian Peak... only here and the smaller places and Island avoided him. There were a few problems when getting to them though, the red fox knew he couldn't swim to the islands and he wasn't about to try either. What Elyth had discovered though was that he could do magic... Light fires just with his will, and he was getting quite good at it....

Ever since El had met a dragon he had nothing but good fortune. The fox managed to catch himself some good meals making his body return to his youthful luster, a few years beyond the end of his prime, and gave him more energy. But that wasn't the only luck he had. On his back was a metalic blue egg he had luckily ran into a dragon who seemed unsure with what to do with it so gave it to him. He didn't complain. Who would? Grinning El stopped his walking and set the egg down. It had been peeping and squirming for what seemed like hours and when he looked at it it had a huge crack in it. "About time little one." He cooed to the egg sitting by it and simply staring at it.

Bandido was out again. She'd been doing it now and again more. Today, she was going back to the mountain. After the last incident, she figured she could go back without troubles this time. The black vixen trotted along merrily, quite happy with recent events. Training with Orchid, who did rather well, an incredible hunt with close friends. You couldn't beat that when times were looking up. The fox hummed tunelessly as she wandered towards the base of the mountain. As she did, there was something that caught her attention. It was just a smell, but she noticed it all the same. A fox? Bandido hadn't seen another fox on the Mountain since Tsuki no Hikari, and that had been some time ago.

The fox followed the scent, moving at a steadily along only to spot a red fox not too are off with a sound she found all too familiar. The hatching of an egg. Bandido smiled, her fluffy tail waving slightly as she approached the other fox. "You know, it helps if you speak a bit more to coax it out," she said, knowing from experience. She adjusted her feathered wings slightly as she sat, her mismatched eyes clearly on Elyth, though it was clear only one was actually focused on hum.

He didn't notice her coming towards him so entranced with the shaking egg and talking to it softly as it did its little rattles and squeaks. As the voice came from behind El's green slit eyes quickly darted to Bandido and he wheeled his whole body around to face her. He wasn't tense but rather suprised he hadn't even scented fox in all his travles around. He looked at her a bit perplexed for a second searching his vast memory for any information his mind quickly returned to the first dragon he had met. "I've been trying." He responded looking back at the egg it seemed to have stopped for a break though it was still peeping lightly in its egg.

His eyes were focused on her mismatched one he was trying to remember her name it just wasn't coming to him at all. His white tipped tail flicked. "Elyth, feel free to call me El though." He offered not many could say that they could call him El even back home, it was something he only offered to friends. The metalic egg squeaked loudly sounding a bit annoyed making the red fox wheel back around to face it. "Then come on out!" He said it wasn't harsh more comical actually. The egg was silent not even moving. "I can already tell what type of relationship this is going to be." He muttered to himself.

Bandido gave a light-hearted laugh as she moved a bit closer to get a better look at the egg. "A pleasure, El. I'm Bandido," Of course it wasn't much to say, yet. Like Elyth, the vixen always had a thing for dragons, aquas especially. After all, it was an aqua dragon that gave her some of the scars that were more visible, most specifically the one across her blind eye and one of her forelegs. She recognized the egg for what it was and couldn't help but comment, "Aqua dragons. Definitely a rough bunch. Stubborn, prone to fights."

Bandido sat and wrapped her tail about her paws, still watching. "And I expect this one'll be a handful, but then again, most aquas are." It was the best she could offer. After all, she wasn't about to give away all the tricks and secrets to raising a dragon. Elyth would have to learn on his own.

He gave what he thought was a good natured smile, but might have appeared a bit menacing. His tail waved slightly as the vix moved closer to his egg. He watched her observe it and when she gave her name it was a good duh moment. "I've heard of you." He said a bit amazed. "Your dragon, I met your dragon... an aqua." He looked down at the egg as she spoke about it. "Your dragon didn't seem to violent. Eztli? Right?" He wanted to make sure that was her dragon or partner what ever she preferred it to be called.

He listened respectfully rubbing single line scar that was on his cheek. Great... He thought with a sigh. I'll get the one dragon that will try to eat its owner. He mentally laughed as well hoping he wouldn't have to fight the dragon it would be like fighting his own child. His bright green eyes moved to the egg he heard a crack and now a little dark teal dragon was flopping around lightly on the ground trying to get to its feet. Elyth was surprised it had so much energy after all that work.

The little aqua got to his feet rather quickly but unsteadily as he looked around his eyes first landing on just the surroundings then El. He squeaked lightly its gold eyes boring into him. Elyth stared back at him the wonder, it was so small but he knew that wouldn't last long. "Hello there young one." He didn't want to call it little he wasn't that much smaller than himself. Never having children for himself before El looked a bit uncertainly at Bandido. The fox fancied himself as very intelligent but in this matter he was quite utterly lost...

Bandido was grinning from ear to ear when the hatchling finally emerged from the egg. She was thrilled by the hatching that she almost forgot Elyth was speaking to her. One of the draw backs to having a love of mythic creatures, which also explained the size of her extended family. The vixen cooed at the little aqua before she answered, "Ah, Eztli. He's a rarity among aquas. His a bit hard-headed sometimes, and tends to not like his own species. Probably the only trait he he really personifies."

Bandido moved a little closer to the hatchling and cooed at him again with a smile. "So Elyth, what are you going to call him?" she asked, her mismatched eyes directing their attention to the red fox for a moment before she gently pawed at the kit. "And if you raise them like you would your own, they're less likely to eat you," the vix added with a light-hearted giggle.

He could tell Bandido was quite intrigued with the little dragon as he came out and looked around. The little aqua squeaked loudly nipping at Bandido's paw as she playfully batted it at him. The little dragon was hungry that was the only thing apparent to El as it looked back at him and cried out loudly. "I can tell, I just hope this one ends up like Eztli..." He sighed staring at the dragon the little kits eyes not leaving him for a single moment just staring at him unblinkingly it was rather disconcerting actually having a reptile that could and might possibly eat you in one bite someday.

At Bandido's question about naming the little mythical he looked at her then back to him. "Arlyn." He said to himself at first the nodded firmly, "Yes, your name shall by Arlyn I rather like the ring to it." Elyth smiled slightly approving of the name the dragon kit however didn't really respond just looked at him and tilted his head before going back to the fox that was actually interesting. He squeaked at her a bit of mist coming from his reptilian maw maybe she would feed him.

"I'm sure if you stick around, he could be," she said, continuing to paw at the newly named Arlyn. She was careful to keep her paw out of reached to avoid drawing blood. In her experiences, if they drew first blood young on something other than food, it wasn't always a good thing. Bandido still smiled, giggling as she continued the little game.

The name itself seemed to fit. The vixen nodded approvingly, "Now Arlyn, you look hungry. Why don't you ask your daddy there for something?" She indicated Elyth with a gesture of her paw, especially since that was where most of his attention was. The kit needed to learn the red fox was his caretaker, and not Bandido.

Elyth nodded slightly trying to remember that bit a detail and as he watched the two play he wanted to start by getting the little dragon's focus onto him. "Arlyn." He said his voice obviously calling the little dragon and to his surprize it turned its head to look at him. Already knew his name, these dragons they were smart. The fox gave a semi-soft smile and walked up to the young dragon patting him on the head. "Mind if you walk with me then Bandido?" He asked maybe she could help him bring something a tad bigger than a hare like a small doe or something all three could very well share?

Arlyn looked between the two foxes that he thought where his parents and squeaked happily at the pat on the head from his father before nipping at it as it was drawn away the red fox didn't notice though as his attention went to Bandido. Arlyn didn't know what was going on but aparently this growling in his stomach was going to be saited so he paid close attention, to their words and actions trying to figure out all he could from them.

"Smart lad. He'll probably be a handful no matter which way you look at it," she said what a light-hearted laugh. Bandido was glad to see Arlyn's attention on Elyth, so she took that opportunity to back up slightly. But when Arlyn's attention was back on her, there wasn't much she could do about it.

"Two sets of fangs are better than one," the vixen offered as her answer. She gave a grin and bounded ahead a little ways, pausing and looking back, "Well, you coming or not?" The black fox was still smiling as she waited for the red fox and aqua dragon to catch up before walking alongside them, occasionally sniffing the air for a potential lead on the wind.

Elyth grinned at the vix's comment. "Yes, smart indeed but I just hope you are wrong about the trouble." Though I know I am already, to smart for his own good... like me. He thought immediately after his voiced words. The look on his face betrayed what he was thinking most likely as he looked back down to the dragon. Who now had pounced on a passing bug and ate it. "Yes maybe to smart." He said if Arlyn was already picking up instinct skills he wondered just how intelligent he would grow to be..

At Bandido's offer of adding herself to the hunt he smiled. This vix.. Could she read minds or something. He smiled slightly, she was a mountain rank and Alpha of a Pack she probably had some form knowing what others where thinking. As she ran past El looked back to Lyn. "Come on Arlyn." The foxed called watching as the dragon continued to look around for bugs.

Lyn looked at El chirping lightly before scampering up to him. El dipped his should down and started to nudge the little dragon and urge it onto his back. After a few moments of this prodding the Aqua climbed up a bit awkwardly seeing at he wasn't to much smaller than the fox he rode on. The red fox jogged towards Bandido as smoothly as he could, by the gods the little dragon's talons where sharp. Elyth continued to follow her asking in a respectful tone, "So you been here for a while? Where is a good place around here? Any valleys?"

Bandido wasn't a mind reader. She just learned how to read others. A skill the fox found necassary, though it didn't always work, due to the position she was in. Her mismatched eyes continued to look around for a potential quarry. She looked over to Elyth as he caught up, stifling a laugh she she saw his awkward state with Arlyn on his back. All the same, she maintained a smile as she looked ahead once more. "Well, can't say much for valleys," she looked back to him, "I've been everywhere on this land, which is relatively easy to do when you've been here all your life."

She frown slightly, an old memory flashing in her mind, "I was a very sickly kit. Born somewhere to the north, where it snowed almost year round. Probably would've died out there if someone hadn't found me and brought me here." Indeed, that was about all she knew of any life before being at Wolf Mountain. In fact, she was so small then, that what she told him was from only a small glimpse in her memories and what she was told by her adoptive mother. In the end, she just shrugged.

Suddenly, a sound caught her attention. There was something rustling in the treeline. Her ears swiveled trying to pick it up. Bandido altered her direction and moved towards the source. Hopefully it was something larger than a rabbit or racoon.

He listened with out comment she probably had a whole wealth of knowledge about these lands, what he had touched upon with her didn't even scratch the surface. He smiled lightly it reminded him of himself back in the old lands. El's smile quickly turned into a grimmace though as the little dragon's talons dug into this sides. The red fox gave a little grunt and took a deep breath to relax himself. "Too bad might have to go further then to find something larger." He strained out threw the clawings in his side.

Arlyn's clawing stopped for a few moments in time for Elyth to gather Bandido's history. Funny how that worked, the weakest in the end turn out to be one of the most powerful. He gave a slight grin. Foxes were nutoriously mischievious he wondered if she was as well under all that seemingly 'good' cover. As she heard the noise and looked toward it the red fox did as well ears perking and bright green eyes flying to the brush that moved. He shook his back lightly trying to get the little dragon to get off then sat down. The dragon grudgingly slid off his back and onto the ground before chirping slightly. "Hush." El whispered softly to the drackling staring at the brush.

"Maybe we'll get lucky," she said with a smile. Very quietly, she slipped into the brush causing very little movement. On the other side, her good eye noticed it was a clearing. Bandido smiled to herself as she saw a doe and her fawn emerged from a couple yards away. The vixen turned back and poked her head out. "Looks like we're in luck. Doe and her fawn in the clearing," she said, "Just be ready. I'm going to flush her your way."

And with that, Bandido disappeared once again. She circled behind her target, keeping a watchful eye. The doe and fawn were nibbling on what remained of the grass in the clearly. While both appeared unaware, the vix bolted, snapping at the legs of the doe. This caused her to bolt. Thankfully, she went int he direction the fox intended, straight out towards Elyth. Hopefully he would slow her while Bandido came darting behind.

Elyth smiled, "Perfect we all can get some." He waited as she vanished from the brush again he waited wondering what would happen and what she would do. His tail flicked he just hoped in the silence that was passing over them that Arlyn would stay out of the way or at least out of danger. The dragon squeaked quietly watching the brush entently then Elyth heard it.

There was a flurry of noise and hoof beats then the doe crashed threw the brush. Acting in an instant the fox jumped up just grabing the lower side of its neck. She bucked around wildly trying to get him off and seeing what his parent was doing the little aqua bobbed around under the doe snapping at her ankles.
