Lapis walked along the river that he loved oh so much. The blue and white wolf looked at the waves. he wonderedd how the mountain was going to be like. He needed a plan. The brute trotted fast along the river, whoever came along would be great to talk to.

Demi was padding along, deciding to take an outing without her brother for the first time in awhile. Rarely was she without Alarik nor their pudding dragon companions. But today was different. The grey teen decided to go across the river that bordered one side of her home pack. Her crimson eyes darted from one thing to another as she remembered this side of the river. Here, where they'd met a dragon that took them to the safety and loving paws of the Earth alphess Bandido. Demi smiled at the thought as she padded along the river side. The fox was the closest thing to a real mother she and Alarik had, and she was grateful.

The young fae was mostly wolf. There was a small bit of husky blood running through her veins, though on her it was hardly visible. She was tall and slender, growing into a rather fine looking canine. Not necessarily the prettiest in the world, not in the slightest. Average. That was how Demi would prefer to describe her self. Her most outstanding feature were her crimson eyes that were quite sharp. And it was in that she noticed a blue and white wolf.

The mostly wolf teen's ears flicked, noting that he was moving towards her and she him. As they got closer and closer, Demi offered a smile. "Well hello there. Enjoying the river?"

The blueish white wolf looked over at the wolfdog. "It's lovely." He said as he turned to face her. His eyes looked like a lapis stone, which is how he got his name. The blue-white, white brute sat on his haunches with a smile "I am Lapis." He waited for an answer, he always seemed to meet a wolf or fox or something when he wanted to meet them, but just stood there. Lapis never came across a creature when he didn't want to. It might have been because of his attention. he sat and waited for the fey to reply. He thought no more of her than as a wolf he might want to be friends with. Not as a mate, or best friend. Heck, he had just met her period.

Demi maintained her smile, polite if nothing else. Bandido didn't have a need to teach her to be polite, it was something she'd picked up naturally on her own. The fae's tail waved as he replied and offered his name. She dipped her muzzle slightly and returned the introduction. "A pleasure, I'm sure Lapis. I am Demi, of the Earth pack," she said, her tail still waving back and forth. The grey canine kept a respectable distance between herself and Lapis. While he seemed outwardly nice, there was always something in the back of her that made her wary of outsiders. The only thing that she could account for it was the brief time with her biological mother.

But that wasn't important now. Demi did not think on it, nor let Lapis know in her body language that she was lingering on her ever so distant past. Instead, she struck up conversation, "So then Lapis, you're not from Wolf Mountain, are you?"

lapis nodded at her name and stored it in his mind, he still remembered the name of the first wolf he ever met. he smiled and replied, "Nope, not from the mountain." He sat on his haunches and waved his tail. The bluish-white wolf still kept his eyes on the wolf-dog. Lapis had nothing really to say, "Are you? if not then where were you from?" Lapis asked with his friendly smile. He felt comfortable with Demi. He waited for her to answer his question and maybe start a hard to think about riddle or question. Lapis wondered himself what to say. He wondered about riddles, but he had none, he thought of hard topics, but were all solved.

"Really? I've heard many creatures weren't born here. I actually like hearing their stories of where they were before," Demi said with a smile. She rather liked the potential idea of an adventure to some far away land, but she wouldn't leave her brother behind. She just couldn't, so she settled for the stories those travelers told. "As for me, born and raised here. In fact, I live in the pack that is just across the River here," the grey teen said, indicating the massive expanse of land on the other bank.

"Earth has the largest territory in the region and the alpha is a fox. Can you imagine that? It surprised me and my brother when we were little and first arrived there," Demi said with a bit of laughter as she thought back on the memory. "Though my life is hardly full of anything interesting. But what about you, what was it like where you came from?" the teen inquired rather curiously. She was a bit of a chatterbox at times, and just as much as she was a chatterbox, Demi enjoyed listening to others speak as well.

The blue and white wolf listened to her chat on and on and on.... Then he finally heard a question, "Ah, the place i come from....well, we had certain....things there that was weird....We had large dragons and creatures. The dragons decided that they would kill everything smaller than the smallest dragon." he paused to catch some breath, and then continued on, "Well, the smallest dragon was four times bigger than me." He paused, she probably knew what was next, "And of course, I evacuated after Marcus, the largest dragon, found out I was still alive." he rubbed his paw on the ground, getting it dusty as he rubbed it in the loose ground. he looked at the fey, surly she had something to say about it. He didn't know how big the dragons were here, but he did know they were here. And unless he found out they were small compared to the ones he as from.....he was just a visitor, passing by Wolf Mountain.

Demi listened with interest. Dragons! She found dragons fascinating, much like her adoptive mother did. She tilted her head slightly, thinking on the dragons she knew. Many were like siblings or aunts and uncles to her. Demi couldn't imagine any of them killing just because. The grey fae stopped that thought. It would be a lie to say none of them were mean, because there were a couple that would eat a wolf if it so suited them. She then thought on the size of the dragons Lapis spoke of. "That big? Must not be a whole lot of variety. Ialu isn't much bigger than me, but he's still growing a bit. But then Styx, he's huge and not even fully grown yet either," Demi mused, probably more to herself. "Dragons have lots of different sizes, though some are smaller than wolves, but some can get nearly as big as a human house! Lots of variety with lots of personality," she went on.

Her tail waved, but a small frown drew across her muzzle as she directed the conversation back to him. "Why would they decide to go after smaller creatures?" she asked with intruige. Demi knew of dragons that were mean, but they'd never kill in could blood.

((Doing this offline))

He raised his eyes as Demi talked, "Really? That small?" Lapis asked in surprise, he couldn't believe it! That small!? He tilted his head and asked, "Could I......see.......one?" he stuttered as he asked. He wanted to see a small one...a full grown small one. Dragons were at the top of Lapis's scary list. the blue and white brute waited eagerly on his haunches for an answer, he wanted to see a dragon, but then again....He didn't....He watched her every move and listened to her every word. His lapis stone eyes watched the wolf-dog. he was half impatient....but why?

Demi tilted her head slightly. He seemed so eager to meet a small dragon. The mostly wolf fae grinned before trotting over to the river bank and howling. Ialu would likely hear it and come as quickly as he could. The pudding dragon always seemed to know where to find her, even if they were on opposite ends of the pack. Her tail waved as she waited patiently for her comrade's arrival before looking back to Lapis. "Did you know, there are some smaller than even Ialu? I've never seen them, but I've heard of them," she said to keep some sound in the area while they waited. Depending on where he was, it would take a moment, so they'd just have to be patient and wait for the pudding dragons arrival.
