character in play: Tov
User Image

Tov had been wandering and exploring the mountain for a while now... making up conversations with random things along the way. A butterfly for instance, talking about where it might have got its color from... how it flew and what the weather was like up that far in the air... It didnt talk but it really didnt need to. Tov found all sorts of things to talk about and found it quite fun and entertaining, along with other things. He stopped for a while in the midst of the shadow of the mountain and started having a conversation with a frog he was starting to follow... "How do bugs taste?" he asked... scaring the frog to jump after eating his lunch... then croaking as if replying but really just trying to get away from such a large creature.... tov kept asking... and kept himself very occupied this way but also distracted on what was really going on around him....

“There! All finished” Rakoon backed up to inspect her handiwork. The hole was maybe 6 feet wide by 10 feet deep. It was honestly her master work. Almost a month of steady working had been eaten up by digging it. And now it was finished! She didn’t have the Earth blessing to help her dig it. Every inch of soil had been moved by her own four paws - pretty impressive for a panther.

“A job well done!” Her voice was ever so triumphant. Now all she had to do was finish up the rim of the hole so water would go around it if it rained. She bunched her hindquarters and pushed off the bottom of the hole where she had just finished digging. Her paws brushed the top edge. Rakoon scrambled, trying to get a firm hold but ended up breaking apart the soft soil on the edge. With the only thing keeping her in the air now disintegrated, the panther had nothing to keep her clinging to the edge. She fell backwards, the dirt she dislodged following her back into the hole. Miraculously, she was able to land back on the bottom of the hole without hurting herself.

The purple panther dragged herself back up to her feet. That was her very best jump! She gauged the distance between her and escape. There was no reason why she shouldn’t be able to make that! She was a panther for crying out loud!

“Think . . . Think.” Her eyes were locked on the part of hole she had just destroyed. Was she doomed to starve to death in her greatest work? That would certainly be unfortunate.

Tov followed the hopping frog till he heard someone talking to themselves and took it upon himself to go and investigate. Coming across the fabulous hole he caulked his head to the side and smiled, jumping right into the bottom with Rakoon, whom he couldnt tell was going to be a threat or a friend he started to talk not even caring he might be stuck in a hole for a while. "Hi! Im Tov! Did you make this hole!?" The frog found its way in as well and tov was momentarily distracted "MY TOAD!" he said as it chilled out on the side near the bottom.. soon to be lost in mud. "That looks like one heck of a way up" he said now realizing what he might have done.

The dark purple panther’s concentration was broken rather abruptly. A rather big, blue tiger decided to crash beside her. Rakoon looked from the tiger to the top of hole back to the tiger again. Trying to figure out which one was should get the majority of her attention. Both were equally important, in her mind. So, she may as well split her attention between the two! A perfect plan.

“Hi, Hole, yes I made you.” Rakoon said rather sternly to the wall of compacted dirt. “And I demand you let me out!”

Now it was the tiger’s turn for her attention.

“Hello to you also, Toad.” She looked Tov up and down, taking in the strange blue of his fur. “You should really be called ‘Frog’ though. Toads are brown.” She gestured her paw at the toad hopping in the mud near them, somehow the now over-clocked had noticed it too. “Like that one.”

Rakoon followed Tov’s gaze upward. “Oh, maybe if I stand on your back, I can get out?” She smiled at how flawless her idea was. No one was as great at coming up with good ideas as she was.

Tov shook his head fast and with a serious tone said "No way! You're gonna get me all dirty!!!" though he was already covered in dirt he loooked around for a more plausable way to get out. "Besides, i can talk my way out of anything! EVEN THIS HOLE!" he blabbed looking up at it like a challenge and started talking to it like it would magically make stairs.
"This would be better hole if you would just give me something better to climb! Why are you being so stubborn at letting me get out? Why did you want to trap me here? ..." and he continued for a while and even attempted jumping out, falling back down on the Rakoon, but landing on all his paws.
